Clary Croft

WEBSITE
Clary Croft is Folk Harbour royalty-a virtual celebrity here as a frequent performer, constant supporter, and bearer of the well-deserved title of "Life-time Friend of the Festival". With a reputation that extends far beyond Festival boundaries, this Halifax-based singer/songwriter is best known for his work as the guardian of internationally renowned folklorist Dr. Helen Creighton's collection. He is also a skilled performer, broadcaster, artisan, and teacher. A walking encyclopedia of Nova Scotia folk heritage and culture, Clary's contribution to the Festival is always invaluable and spans our 25-year history. And thus it is only fitting that, in addition to his solo performances, Clary is coordinating our first-ever traditional music conference, Folk Steps—a Celebration of Traditional Music.
