Red Molly is Laurie MacAllister (vocals, banjo, bass, guitar), Abbie Gardner (vocals, Dobro, guitar) and Molly Venter (vocals, bass, mandolin). Our 25th anniversary will be our first opportunity to appreciate the collective musical talent of this rootsy Brooklyn, NY-based ensemble, whose first full-length CD Never Been to Vegas was recorded live and released in 2006, followed by the 2008 studio album Love and Other Tragedies. The trio is now touring with their new album, James. The diverse musical and professional backgrounds of the band's members provide an authentic richness for their textured harmonies in evocative, acoustic arrangements. The group's song "The Mind of a Soldier" won the 2008 John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Folk category.
