Faithful friends of the Festival for many years, Gordon Stobbe and Greg Simm bring humour, dedication, and a genuine style that have made them audience favourites. Known primarily as a master fiddler, Stobbe also plays mandolin, guitar, and claw-hammer banjo. With a career that includes directing and hosting in TV, radio, and theatre, composing, recording, and performing prolifically, and instructing at fiddle camps, he is at home in any performance or teaching situation. Since 2007, Stobbe and Simm have been working on a special project bringing fiddle workshops to students in Pond Inlet, Nunavut. Simm, a freelance musician, composer, and arranger is also accomplished in theatre production and has worked with countless performers.
