Connie Kaldor

WEBSITE
Since her last appearance at Folk Harbour in 2005, Connie Kaldor has certainly not been resting on her laurels. In addition to her usual hectic cross-country touring schedule (she dropped by Lunenburg for a wonderful concert in December 2008) and busy home life raising two young boys in Montréal, the Saskatchewan-raised singer/songwriter was been appointed a member of the Order of Canada-yet another accolade to add to her staggering list of achievements. Connie's songs are deeply rooted in her Prairie past, with her daily life inspiring everything from love ballads to children's songs. A festival favourite across Canada, her unbridled enthusiasm, humorous yet honest take on life, and endearing voice make Connie a true musical force of nature.
